PROJECTS
Water Wells Project in Sool
THE AFRICAN CONTINENT FACES THE GREATEST CHALLENGE OF ANY REGION OF THE WORLD WITH ROUGHLY 1 OF 3 (330 MILLION) PEOPLE NOT USING A CLEAN WATER SOURCE.
We believe clean water is the first step out of poverty for many nomads.
We are supporting nomads in the Sool region with fresh water that is 300 Meters deep in the ground.
The first water well has started in Gal-Barwaaqo community. Through your support, we invest in proven partners who are drilling fresh water wells and other water projects providing sanitation and hygiene training and constructing other sustainable water projects.
We follow up, monitor and evaluate the projects you support to help ensure our shared work has a long-term impact.
We believe that every supporter can be part of the story of water by learning, acting, giving and then seeing the difference they make.
The Newt & Pat Tarble Public Library
THE FIRST PUBLIC LIBRARY IN LAS ANOD, SOOL
Give to Learn to Grow Foundation locate communities that would benefit from having a library within East Africa.
Library spaces create a vibrant learning environment for children to enjoy the benefits of a library. We provide all materials and build our libraries to the specific needs of the community.
The Sool region has a population of nearly 720,000 people and no library! We are currently constructing the first library in the region which will service nearly 30,000 children. The new library is scheduled to open in early 2019. It will provide books, math & literacy classes, workshops, art classes and technology development for children between the ages of 3 to 10.
