As we come together for the first event in Toronto this July, we remember the incredible Hodan Nalayeh and mark the fifth anniversary of her passing. We celebrate the diverse leaders within the Somali community who, like Hodan, are driving social and economic progress. At the Hodan Nalayeh Changemaker Awards Show, our mission is to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Hodan Nalayeh's passing and honour her remarkable legacy by recognising and uplifting individuals who share her vision for a better world. Through this inaugural banquet, we endeavour to celebrate changemakers and raise vital funds for the Hodan Nalayeh Secondary School scholarship program. These scholarships will support students who exemplify Hodan's leadership, compassion, and inclusivity values, enabling them to continue her transformative work in their communities and beyond.
