Imagine a place where nearly 250 young souls, displaced nomadic children, walk through our doors daily, from the wide-eyed kindergarteners to the spirited eighth graders. Their journey to our school is a testament to their resilience and the boundless human spirit.

Gal-Barwaaqo was born out of necessity in March 2017, a stark response to the unforgiving grip of an extreme drought that mercilessly stripped these nomads of their lifeline - their livestock. For the children of Gal-Barwaaqo, life had never offered the gift of formal education until now.

Thanks to the unwavering support of compassionate souls like our donors, the last six years have seen a remarkable transformation in the lives of these displaced families. Today, we proudly nurture and educate nearly 250 bright and eager minds, 90% of whom had never set foot in a classroom before. This education is not just a curriculum; it's a lifeline, a beacon of hope. The changing environment has made their nomadic way of life unsustainable, but this education equips them with the tools to break the cycle of hardship. It's more than books and blackboards; it's about empowering these young hearts and minds to become architects of their own destinies, the agents of change within their communities.
