On January 28th, 2017, the Give to Learn to Grow Foundation hosted an event for Martin Luther King Day. The Purpose of the event was to help children build self-esteem, and promote confidence through MLK's example. 

Author Kimberly Douglas, and Illustrator Terry Did'um presented their book Beautiful I Am. They also showcased various positive image paintings; aimed at promoting positive thought for youth.
