Recent UNICEF reports suggest nearly 500 million students whose schools closed due to Covid19 are unable to do remote learning because they have no access to a computer or the internet.

How do we implement remote learning without technology to ensure educational continuity?

To prevent students from falling behind, we had to get creative and find an alternative to traditional online learning.

  1. Custom learning materials for all students.

We provide physical take-home packets, papers, worksheets, and books for each student. We have set up a weekly calendar, an hourly schedule for students to pick up materials, and set up a system where the students hand back homework or set assignments.

  2. Simplified curricula and modified learning goals

As they say, keep things simple. We also outlined this during the community meetings with the parents to meet their children's educational goals.

  3. Engaging the families and local communities

We know parental and sibling engagement and support can significantly enhance positive learning outcomes in childhood learning. Hence why we put significant importance on engaging the local parent's communities in townhall meetings
